Just thought I would share with you this project I finished on the stained
glass window effect. It is not an original, as I took the idea from a card that a friend gave me a long time ago. But I sure did have fun experimenting with the raised base for gold.

This stained glass project was painted on a 6x8 ceramic tile. When completed,
I mixed the raised base for gold powder with an open medium to a light creme
consistency, then I added a tiny drop of the medium thick balsam of copaiba
to this mixture, mixed it till it was a heavy creme consistency. I laid the mixture down with a detail brush, outlining everything. If your mixture thickens, just add a tiny drop of your open medium again and mix. Fired at 018. Painted the fired base for gold with platinum two times. |
