The PPIO home page has a new look. We've rearranged some of the links for better readability. And, we've combined the listing of Web pages and Catalog pages on PPIO into one listing, in alphabetical order. You can access these web pages either by selecting the link to "Web Pages on PPIO" on the PPIO home page or use the Drop-down listing lower on the PPIO home page to select and go directly a particular web page.
The Washington State WOCP 2002 Convention, being held in Spokane, Washington, is on the China Shows page. The special show page for this convention is now up and linked to the show's listing on the China Shows page. For more information about this convention, click on the link to the Special Show page at the end of the convention listing on the China Shows page.

Moved the link to the "China Painting List", (a free directory of online china painting resources, compiled by Janette Graham), from the "Personal Web Sites and Studios" section to the new "Directories" section of the "Our Favorite Links" page.
The "Our Favorite Links" page now has an up-front contents listing of the various link type categories for the sections on the page. These have a link to the titled section so that viewers can "jump" to a specific section.

The newest Critique painting (Critique No. 2) is up for review and critique. Just click on the "Critique" link here or on the PPIO home page to view this current artwork for critique.
You can critique the artwork that is currently "In critique". You will need to be a member of the Free Chinapaint mailing list in order to send your comments about the artwork to the mailing list. Just click on the "Critique" link here or on the PPIO home page to view the current artwork for critique. After the critique session for a piece is completed, the artwork, along with the critique comments, will be placed in the Critiques Archive. The Critiques Archive is in the Members Only section of the PPIO site.
New Web Page forChina Painting Artists of Maryland (CPAM). CPAM was the first china painting organization to have a web page on the internet. They have moved their pages to PPIO. - You can click on the listing for the CPAM web page in the Drop-down list of Web Pages on the PPIO home page or go to the Gallery of Web Pages and click on the link to the China Painting Artists of Maryland (CPAM) web page there.

New Lessons are Up! in the PPIO Classroom of the Members Only Section. We have added over 20 new lessons.
We've put the two sample Free lessons on a page by themselves. You can get to these by clicking on the "Learn to Paint" link on the PPIO Home page (or just click the "Learn to Paint" link here).
And, we've created a new "Sneak Peak" page with thumbnail pictures (where applicable) and a brief description of the lessons currently available in the Members Only section. This page also has several thumbnail pictures of the photos available in the Picture Resource Library of the Members Only Section. These will give non-members an idea of the quality of the pictures and the type of lessons offered to our members. There is also a link to the Membership information page on this "Sneak Peak" page. You can get to the "Sneak Peak" page by clicking on the Sneak Preview link on the PPIO HOme page (or just click the Sneak Preview link here.)
Special show pages for the the Second South of England China and Porcelain Artists Show (May 2001) and the Louisiana Organization of Porcelain Art Clubs (L.O.P.A.C.) 2001 Convention (October 2001). These are linked from the listing for each show on the China Shows page.

New Feature: Show and Tell page. This page will be used to display some of the beautiful ornaments, boxes, eggs, etc. that are hand painted by members of the PPIO chinapaint free mailing list and exchanged between members in the various exchanges that take place on the list. The page may also be used to display other items of interest to PPIO members and members of the mailing list. If you have picture files of an ornament, egg or box that you have painted for another PPIO mailing list member or received in an exchange from another mailing list member, and you would like to have it displayed on the Show and Tell page, you may contact Marci Blattenberger at rxguitar@home.com about sending the picture file for display.
New Feature for Members Only: Book and Videos review. This feature is only available to paid members of PPIO. It is available from the Members Only menu. To get to this menu, PPIO paid members may log on to the Members Only page. For information about joining PPIO, go to the Membership page.

One of our PPIO Charter Members, Ann Elliott, was fatally injured in an automobile accident, Christmas night, the year 2000, on the way to a Christmas dinner with family. Ann was a great teacher and an enthusiastic supporter of PPIO. In place of her Charter Member graphic frame, a memorial has been posted in the Charter Members Gallery. The memorial graphic can be seen by clicking on Ann's name in the list of Charter Members on the main Charter Members Gallery page. The photo of the painting Ann submitted for the gallery will remain in the Charter Members Gallery. She will be missed by her family and many friends.
