A message from Nancy:

When the CCPAA show chairman approached me to inquire as to whether or not I would accept as Honored Artist for 2004....my first reaction was "excuse me.... aren't I far too young for this???"

Despite my tender age, it is indeed my honor to be honored!  I thank CCPAA for their invaluable support and friendship over the years.  It is truly the one "grounding catalyst" that has helped to propel me out into the world of porcelain art.  So here is where I am supposed to write all the la-de-dah stuff about when I started and who I've worked with and blah, blah, blah... Yes, I have had prestigious jobs, opportunity to travel internationally and other perks;  yet, I am simply a hard-working studio artist, who learned the hard way (on my own).  To say I haven't gleaned knowledge from the thousands of artists I come in contact with yearly would be untrue.  I have learned from everyone and I mean EVERYONE!   The newest painters have always had something valuable to teach me.  Over the years, I have learned from all of you, my finest teachers.
