I know that Gene did not brag about himself so allow me to do it for him. He was not only very knowlegable about the technical side of overglaze painting , he was an extremely talented artist who designed wonderfully complex pieces. His work is a beautiful combination of precision and freedom, delicate, yet dramatic.
