The Pennsylvania Porcelain Artist is a non profit organization that consists of four local clubs. Our goal is to promote the education and appreciation of the fine art of painting and decorating porcelain. In the past years the show has been held in Erie, Pittsburgh, Harrisburg and in Franklin in 2000. Records indicate the show attendance to be from 300 to 500. With so many visitors coming to our area we want to let them know what there is to see and do while there are here. To learn more about Franklin, Pennsylvania, click on the appropriate link at the bottom of this page. The convention will feature hand painted china, fine porcelain gifts, jewelry, dolls and lamps available for sale. Also included are raffles, demonstrations, door prizes and supplies. We are planning an extensive schedule of publicity to promote a well attended and profitable show. We are currently contacting porcelain artists directly, through clubs and schools. Besides this web page of information, we will be advertising this event through every available media as well as personally contacting various clubs, universities, art guilds and groups in surrounding areas to encourage field trips. Our local club members, from twelve different towns in Pennsylvania and Ohio, will be actively promoting, demonstrating and sharing information about our art to arouse interest for the show. The show room, club display area, banquet room, demonstrations and a hospitality room for our teachers and booth holders to relax in, are conveniently located in one place. A box lunch will be available for order for Friday's lunch. |
