About Franklin, Pennsylvania

Franklin, Pennsylvania is a beautiful Victorian city located 16 miles north of Interstate 80 on Routes 8, 62 and 322 in the heart of Venango County.  It sits amid rolling hills and miles of forest on the banks of the Allegheny River, where fishing is one of the many pastimes.  This makes the region a recreational delight.  Franklin also takes pride in its many elegant Victorian homes nestled in the heart of the city.

Visitors are drawn to Franklin's unique combination of places to see.  The Tiffany Windows of St. John's Episcopal Church, one of only six churches in the country to boast a complete set of windows designed by American artist Louis Comfort Tiffany.

The DeBence Antique Music World was recognized as one of the Top Ten Destinations in Pennsylvania.  It hosts an extraordinary collection of more than 100 antique automated music machines from the Gay Nineties and Roaring Twenties.

In many communities, band concerts in the park are a thing of the past, but Franklin has one of America's oldest volunteer community bands, The Franklin Silver Cornet Band.  It was founded in 1856.

Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad - take a ride through "the valley that changed the world."  These are just a few of the sites that await you in Franklin.
